Reuters is reporting that Richard Besser, acting Director of the CDC, has confirmed the first fatal case of Swine Flu in the US. It is a 23 month old child that died in Texas. No further details are available at this time.

Congress will hold an emergency hearing on Tuesday afternoon to discuss the Swine Flu outbreak and the public health response to it.
